Dodmoor House is a stunning exclusive-use barn venue set in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside, just minutes from the M1. With its rustic Grade II listed barns, fairy-lit courtyard, and four acres of landscaped grounds alongside the Grand Union Canal, it's one of the most photogenic venues I shoot at. The golden-hour light that creeps into the small but intimate courtyard and gardens and the warm candlelit interiors of the Catesby Barn make for truly beautiful images whatever the season.
My approach at Dodmoor House, as with all my weddings, is relaxed, unobtrusive, and story-driven. I'm not going to ask you to pose awkwardly by a wall. I'm there to capture the real moments: the laughter during speeches, the happy tears when surrounded by family and friends, and yes, the epic dancing later on. Knowing the venue means I already know where the best light is, the hidden corners for couple portraits, and exactly how the courtyard looks as the evening sun drops behind the treeline.

A second photographer for your day, available from groom preparation through to the end of the speeches. They will capture additional angles and creative shots, ensuring that groom preparation is covered even if the getting-ready locations are far apart.
FAQs
How do we book?
You can get in touch using the contact page on this website, via email or my Instagram and Facebook pages. We can schedule a meeting, video chat or phone call to discuss your day in more detail. A £400 deposit is required to secure your date. Unfortunately I cannot hold a date without this deposit.
Are you insured?
I am fully insured through photoGuard which is a specialist photography insurance company in the UK, this also covers me for destination weddings. If your venue needs proof of insurance just let me know and I will be happy to provide that for you.
How long do group photographs / couple photographs take?
The amount of time spent on these types of photographs depends on your requirements, however I always ask for you as a couple to write down a list of important shots that you would like which aids a smooth transition to make sure there's no unnecessary standing around for you and your guests. Typically this lasts no more than 20-30 minutes, any longer and people start to run away!
How long after the wedding will we receive our photographs?
Your photographs will be delivered 4 to 12 weeks after your wedding depending on the time of year because of how busy it can be during wedding season.
How long after the wedding will we receive our video?
Your video will be completed within 2-4 weeks after your wedding photos have been delivered.
Do you need feeding?
If you are able to provide me with a meal then I would be most grateful. However if it's not possible just let me know in advance and I will make sure I have some sandwiches for the day.
Can we print the photographs?
The photographs are yours and you may do what you wish with them, share them on social media, order some canvases for the house, you are free to use them in any way you would like. Family and friends can also order prints directly from the online wedding album - this is handled by an external printing lab with very high quality prints.
Do you edit the photographs?
All of my photographs are edited by myself, this is half of the enjoyment being a photographer. It allows me to put my own style on each and every image I take.
When should we book you for our wedding?
If you think I would be a good fit for your wedding and would like me to be a part of your special day then it's best to get in touch as soon as you possibly can otherwise there is a risk that your date may already be taken. Let me know the date of your wedding and I will reply within 24 hours to let you know if I am available.
Can our family and friends take photographs too?
This is entirely up to you if you want allow photos or not at your own wedding. I have no problems with family and friends taking photographs at all. As a photographer I understand the joy of taking your own pictures and would never want to take that away from anyone. My recommendation is to have the officiant ask for no pictures during the ceremony at least, this way everyone remains in the moment and I can concentrate on getting those beautiful shots of you both and the guests.
